We’d been holidaying in the Maldives on another island since December 26, 2025, and tried to arrange a transfer to Felidhoo with Wow retreat. They suddenly cancelled our reservation two days before we were due to arrive, without giving any explanation. It’s January 5 now, and we were supposed to go to Felidhoo on the 7th. Instead, we’ll spend our last day trying to book another hotel at the last minute. Totally unprofessional. If you can’t rely on them, I wouldn’t recommend them at all.

What stood out most was how peaceful it felt. I found the guest house in Vavu Felidhoo a lovely place to unwind and get away from the usual bustle. The beach was only a short walk away, so I could pop over to the clear water whenever I felt like it. The staff were genuinely welcoming and happy to help with requests. They also shared useful ideas for local activities, which helped me make the most of my stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and the relaxed atmosphere made it easy to rest after exploring. I had a delightful visit and would recommend this place to anyone after a calm getaway with good service and a lovely beach nearby.

The beaches look like they belong in Bounty ads. The water is very warm and clear, with a gentle slope into it, and there are plenty of corals and exotic fish. The coral sand doesn’t heat up, and there are sunbeds at bikini beach. Around the beach you might spot fish, squid, rays, sharks, crabs, and beautiful birds. There are exotic fruits too, and locals feed sharks in the bay every evening. They’re a safe species, so no worries. Felidhoo is a small, cozy island with untouched nature, friendly locals, and a calm atmosphere. It’s a great place for a holiday, with wonderful views. Mr. Ali, the owner, is extremely nice, super friendly, and helpful. He’ll be like your “mom and dad” while you’re visiting. There’s a chef who’ll make dishes to your taste, though most options are from the local menu. The guest house is great overall. Rooms are clean and in good condition, with free wifi, air conditioning, a clothes stand, a full-size mirror, towels, tea and coffee, and room cleaning included. Bring your own bathroom accessories. A few practical details: there are two restaurants serving local Maldivian food, and you can book extra trips out to the ocean or other islands. The local prayers aren’t disturbing. There are supermarkets and souvenir shops on the island, and you’ll want mosquito spray. A speedboat to Male runs twice a day except Fridays, and costs $50-$55 per person.

The room was peaceful and really comfortable, and the service was good too. Such a unique experience. I’d recommend this for anyone looking for an affordable, pleasant staycation.
