Royal Island Resort & Spa

We stayed in a Beach Villa, and stepping out onto the sand was amazing. The reef around the island felt like a natural aquarium: we spotted reef sharks, three kinds of rays, turtles, moray eels, and so many other fish. The food was good, the hotel was lovely, and the staff were kind. We spent 18 days in the Maldives, first 7 in Maafushi and then 11 at this spectacular resort. If we'd known how good it was, we would've headed straight here. Aswin looked after us in the restaurant all 11 days and was easily our favorite waiter. He was attentive and quick, so we always tried to sit in his section, knowing we'd be well cared for. Thanks so much, Aswin!

Noble made the stay especially memorable. He was friendly, explained things clearly, and helped us with activities. It never felt like we were dealing with a guide, more like having a caring family member around to check that we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Thank you for your kind heart and lovely service, Noble. Royal Resort & Spa has a wonderfully peaceful, luxurious atmosphere. The rooms, meals, and service were all fabulous, and the welcome felt warm and respectful. The staff's polite greetings and genuine hospitality made us feel special throughout. There are lots of things to do too, including the gym and other engaging activities. We enjoyed every moment and would recommend it to anyone after a great getaway. Can't wait to visit again!

The snorkeling trip was a highlight, we saw more than 10 turtles. The buffet was excellent too, with lots of variety and high quality food. The beach was beautiful, and there was plenty of privacy. Honestly, it was a 10/10 vacation. The island is actively and carefully maintained, and the staff were friendly, professional, and focused on guests. I couldn't really find anything negative to point out. Big thanks to Tini at reception, Habib, Pandi, Avishek, Arunas, Sandar, and Himali in the restaurant and buffet, Ausam and Zayn in water sports, Ali Riza in housekeeping, and Swarna and Suneka at the bar.

We left Royal Island with lovely memories and hope to return someday. The island is beautiful, the ocean is breathtaking, and each day felt like a dream. From arrival through departure, the staff made us feel valued and looked after, with such warm, welcoming care. Noble, our host, made everything go smoothly. He's a true professional and a wonderful representative of Royal Island, always available and willing to help. Nothing seemed like too much trouble, and his attention to detail and genuine care made us feel supported and completely at ease. We'd be delighted to have him as our host if we are lucky enough to return. We also want to thank the team members who made the stay especially memorable. Sarita and Puii from Araamu Spa were warm and easy to talk to, and their outstanding massages helped us fully relax. Every spa visit was lovely thanks to their professionalism and positive energy. Prasad took great care of our room, keeping it in perfect condition and always being kind, polite, and attentive. Murali from Maakana Restaurant was exceptionally caring. Besides speaking English, he made an effort to say a few words to us in Russian, our native language. Such a thoughtful gesture always brought a smile to our faces. Thank you to the whole Royal Island team for an incredible vacation.
