Soneva Secret

The people are what I’ll remember most. Our butlers, Rosha and Fetri, were so warm and caring that they became friends, and saying goodbye was one of the hardest parts of leaving. Everything else exceeded what I expected too: the food, the service, the little details, the atmosphere, and that deep feeling of peace. It felt like a hidden paradise. This was much more than a holiday. I came away with memories I’ll carry for a long time, and Soneva has set a new standard for luxury and hospitality for me. I can’t wait to come back.

The Den could be improved. Maysha, the kids club instructor, was amazing and the kids had loads of fun with her, but I wish the space were a bit bigger and more like the ones at other Soneva resorts. We came from a busy, crowded city looking for somewhere quiet and private, and Soneva Secret gave us that. We started in an over-water villa, then moved to a beach villa because it felt safer with our energetic child. They loved playing in the sand and with the crabs. As a Muslim hijabi, I really appreciated how respectful the team was. They assigned female barefoot guardians just for our family and villa so I could feel comfortable and relaxed there. Anna and Leoni would let me know whether the chef coming to the villa was a man or a woman, so I could put on my hijab beforehand. They were also friendly and attentive with the kids, patient, funny, and playful. Our kids adore them. They surprised our daughter with a birthday celebration, then put together a quick pretend birthday for her jealous little brother too. Both kids went to sleep so happy. A very luxurious place that suited our needs and style. The Soneva Secret family set the bar so high I’m not sure I can settle for less now. We really can’t wait to return. Thank you so much.

I’ve visited three islands in the Maldives, and this one is my favorite by far. Chef Enrique deserves a Michelin star, and I highly recommend dinner in the out-of-this-world dining tower. Our villa’s personal chef and our host Pei made the stay magical. The overwater villa and those endless Indian Ocean views were wonderful. Absolutely stunning, a must-visit resort, and unlike anywhere else in the world.

It was pricey when I booked, so I expected a lot. By the end of the first night, I realized it wasn’t just good or even meeting my expectations. It was spectacular, way beyond what I’d imagined. I took lots of pictures, but I’m not sharing them all because it’s “secret” 🤫.
