I got very severe food poisoning on day 6 of my stay at the Nautilus. Our butler was sympathetic, but General Manager Adan Gomez and the rest of the management team never acknowledged what happened or apologized, even though we stayed another two days. That was completely unacceptable. The resort is tiny and was far from full, so I don't see an excuse for the silence. To give you an idea of how guests are treated, they even charged me for the meal that made me ill. Maybe this happens more often than they'd like people to know, which could explain why the General Manager seemed so unbothered. Appalling service and treatment.

The beds were very comfortable, and the modern rooms and facilities were on par with top resorts around the world. The property is small and private. Still, after visiting many Maldivian resorts, we found the stay decent but underwhelming for an ultra-luxury place built around exclusivity. Nothing especially impressed us. The service and general feel of the experience fell short. Our butlers did their jobs, but didn't go the extra mile you'd expect at this level, and at times we couldn't reach them even by calling directly. Service also varied a lot by staff member. Lotto took great care of us, but others were lackluster. Better training and management could address that. Dining varied from day to day. We ordered Maldivian Chicken Curry twice, and the flavor and quality were different each time. It's a small inconsistency, but it affected our meals and is something the resort could improve. The water treatment seemed lacking, too. Our bathwater had a slight foul smell, and the beach water around the resort did as well. The house reef wasn't anything special. We had a good time, but left with mixed feelings. If you're mainly after a private beach island experience, The Nautilus could suit you. For true Maldivian hospitality and a top-notch stay, I'd strongly consider the Four Seasons at Landaa Giraavaru, all 3 Soneva properties, or the trendier Patina.

The villa was stunning, spacious, private, and elegantly designed, with breathtaking views. Food was incredible, mixing international dishes with local flavors, and every detail felt thoughtfully planned. From the moment we arrived at The Nautilus Maldives, we felt the luxury and warmth. The service was so personal and kind that we felt like cherished friends, not just guests. It was more than a holiday, it was a transformative experience, and we can't wait to return. Thank you, Nappe and Team, for making sure we were looked after in every way. Your kindness and professionalism really stood out!

The 'no time' concept makes The Nautilus a perfect place to switch off from a busy life. The island is beautiful and feels very private, and the food and wine selection and quality are world class. The staff and hospitality go above and beyond. It's the best luxury hotel in the Maldives and one of the best I've visited anywhere. This was our second stay, and we'll be back. Literal paradise on earth.

After eight stays at different Maldives hotels, we've finally found our favorite. Probably the best hotel in the Maldives 🤩. It's a fantastic place for two, with exceptional service and breakfasts and cuisine that are absolutely delicious.
