We paid for a room a week ahead, but when we arrived on New Year’s Eve, they had no room for us. We had been looking forward to the trip for days, and there was nowhere else we could find to stay. Apparently, some earlier guests chose to stay an extra night and paid for it, so we lost the room we’d already booked and paid for. This place is ridiculous.
The location is convenient, just 50 meters from the beach, but this hotel isn’t suitable for families with children. There’s no lift for older people, and none of the rooms have a geyser or hot water.
I’ve been here for the last 15 days and I’m very happy, especially with the hotel staff. We’re a group of 50 staying at different hotels in Hulhumalé, and all my friends at the other places have complained about their staff. The people here really are as great as the hotel’s name.
Even if you pay ahead, there’s no guarantee you’ll get a room. Booking this place in advance is useless.
