Casa Retreat Hotel

The staff are flexible and friendly, which is the main reason I'd stay here again. Rates are reasonable, and the hotel is on the main road, about two minutes from the beach. The room was comfortable, nice, and quiet, with coffee, water, and a hot bath available. There are also nice cafés, restaurants, and grocery shops nearby.

It's a nice place in huluhmale, close to the beach but not right on it. The rooms are cosy and have almost all the amenities. Most of the staff are foreign, and they were courteous and helpful. Our rate included bed and breakfast. The breakfast was basic, but enough to keep us going through the day. I'd recommend the hotel to people traveling to Maldives.

The reception staff made a big difference during my stay last week. One of the girls helped me book a speedboat to mafushi and spoke with the driver to make sure he dropped me where I could catch it. On Friday, when I was checking out, I couldn't find a taxi because of prayer time. She called a driver from her contacts and asked him to hurry because I might miss my flight. She was busy with paperwork but still took the time to help. I've met plenty of arrogant receptionists, but the staff here were kind and positive. She told me her name, though I can't remember if it was Tashi or Taksi. The rooms were very good for a reasonable price, so I'd highly recommend this hotel when visiting Maldives hullumale. We had two rooms for one night, and they were too cramped to open our luggage. The bed frame blocked the socket beside the bedside table, and there weren't enough outlets for more than one person. Breakfast was brought to our rooms and was okay, but I found a toothpick in my sausage (see picture provided). My dad left his Samsung charger and USB cable in the room across from reception. Casa Retreat didn't call or email us about retrieving them, and didn't contact Meeru resort to ask them to let us know so someone could collect the items for him.
