Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives

The beds were really hard, which was my one complaint, but otherwise we had a great time. Kommu was attentive and made the best drinks, and Dwi was a wonderfully caring waitress. At the kids club, Chinnu and Azee were so kind and thoughtful. Ali and Jaishh took us on a private tour; they were lovely, and seeing dolphins was a completely unexpected treat. Some of the staff were truly exceptional. Thanks so much, we’ll be back!

Bala deserves a special thank you. He was friendly, ready to help, and always checked that we were comfortable. His attitude made our visit even more memorable. Holiday Inn Kandooma is peaceful and beautifully kept, with lovely beaches and clean, comfortable rooms. There’s a nice balance of relaxing and having things to do. The whole team helped make it a great stay, and I’d happily return and recommend it.

This was our third visit, and we’re already looking forward to another. It’s an easy 45 minute boat ride from Malé airport, and the resort suits us especially well because it’s a short trip from the UAE. The Dive Center offer of two complimentary dives a day with a stay of three nights or more is a big draw. The dive team are professional, helpful and know their sites, which are varied, easy to reach and full of reef life. Shaan has a great crew in Luca, Sam, Moose, Eddie and the boat pilots. We’ve stayed in both a beach cottage and a beach villa. Both were great, though the cottage bed was a bit firm. The restaurants serve lovely food, rooms are great, and service is superb. Mahlee, Selena and the front desk team looked after us so well, and Renuka took perfect care of us at the beach bar. Everyone was courteous and helpful.

We had such a lovely week in our beach house, and there was nothing to complain about. Everyone was so friendly, from the bar and kitchen staff to the trip instructors. Thanks, Sushila! Definitely recommend.
