iCom Blue Seaview

The location was perfect, and the pool, though small and shallow, was okay. We arrived during peak season before check-in, but got refreshing welcome drinks and were checked in quickly. Lunch at The resturant was fine. Our room was spacious with a balcony, clean toilet and minimal amenities. The bed was comfortable. The main frustration was the single lift: we waited over 15 minutes to go down. Still, a pleasant stay overall.

We ended up packing and moving to another hotel at our own expense after three days of being told a relocation solution was coming. The owner refused a refund, and the daily promises never led to any real help. The hygiene problems were alarming. Flies were everywhere, including common spaces and breakfast, with many dead flies around. I became sick after eating there, and it ruined our trip. The pool was green and poorly maintained, with at least ten crows bathing in it every day. The whole stay at Icom Sea View in Maafushi was a disaster. There was no professionalism or consideration for guests. Avoid this place.

The room and facilities were the parts I liked: my room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful sea view, and the modern hotel was well maintained. The rooftop pool was a highlight. I stayed at iCom Blue Seaview Hotel from 11-14 November, and the rest was disappointing. Restaurant service felt very poor, with no welcome or hospitality and little attention from staff. A group of around 70 guests was staying there, and by the time we came for buffet breakfast, nearly all the food was gone. We were left with bread, butter and a few small items. Planning and management need serious improvement.

The view is amazing, and the rooms are huge and feel luxurious. There’s a large infinity pool with a bar, DJ, air conditioning and a gym, and some rooms have a jacuzzi. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. I highly recommend this as a place to stay in Maafushi, it’s the best hotel there.
