We arrived to find they had overbooked, and the room we got wasn’t the one we were meant to have. We’d requested a double bed ahead of time, but that hadn’t been arranged either. The room had lots of spiders and insects, felt extremely unhygienic, and the toilet didn’t work. We’d booked two nights and three days, but the room was so unlivable that I found another place for the second night. I had to stay the first night because I couldn’t find anywhere else. The staff were very unprofessional, and they didn’t pick us up at the habour, so we had to ask locals how to find the place. It was a horrible experience. I can’t understand how this place has positive reviews. I wouldn’t recommend booking here. If I could give zero stars, I would.

It was a terrible stay. Staff were rude and disorganized at check-in, and someone woke me at 7:30am by banging on my door for “breakfast.” They asked how much I had paid and demanded to see the receipt. I wondered if that wasn’t information they should already have. There was no hot water until we asked the staff to turn it on. Coffee and tea were supposedly free, but there was none by the hot water, and there was no drinking water either. On my way out, an hour after checking in, the manager again asked for my booking receipt and how much I’d paid.

It’s an okay option on a budget if you only need a room to come back to and sleep in. The bathroom is very small, and the hotel assistant isn’t always around when you need them. Breakfast was the same complimentary meal every day. I wouldn’t take the activities and excursions they offer. I’d prefer icom and kaani excursions.

The staff were nice, but they didn’t know much overall and couldn’t help with transfers or activities. It’s quite okay for a one-night stay. If you’re traveling and need support, this isn’t the hotel for you.

I stayed for three days. It’s simple and cozy, in a quieter part of the island, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
