Kaya Mawa

After ten days of safari in zambia, we finished our trip with three restful days at Kaya Mawa. Paradise really does fit. The four of us were lucky to stay in the Ndomo private house, which was stunning, comfortable, and beautiful. We had the whole team focused on us, so it felt like a quiet, luxurious retreat. Evans, I hope I’ve got the spelling right, was our butler and made everything feel effortless, from bringing drinks wherever and whenever we wanted to serving meals in different spots around the house. Our last dinner was on the private beach, lit with loads of candles. The chef was amazing too. Everything tasted so good and was presented beautifully. We were celebrating our birthdays on this trip with friends, and on our final beach day the whole team arrived with a candle covered cake and sang “happy birthday.” It really touched us.

My husband and I had such a romantic few days at Kaya Mawa a few weeks ago. We swam a lot, took e-bikes around the island, enjoyed wine at the lookout, and had spa treatments. The views and service were both 10/10, and the food was excellent. Luke, who was assigned to help us during our stay, did an incredible job. We had an amazing time and I’d recommend the place again and again.

The team’s care was what made Kaya Mawa stand out. They dealt with every request and helped us get the most from whatever we were doing. One lovely moment was when someone came along on our hike up the hill for sunset, carrying cocktails and snacks for us. We were met at the plane when we arrived, and the rooms, swimming bay, and activities all exceeded expectations. The food was fantastic too, and breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. For a luxurious break somewhere a bit different, I can’t recommend it enough.

We stayed at Kaya Mawa for four days in June this year and had a wonderful time. The beach bungalow was special, the food was great, and really everything felt amazing. The staff were the highlight, going out of their way to make our stay memorable. We also loved the choir and band performing on the beach. Thank you, Kevin, Bri, and everyone at Kaya Mawa.
