On my first visit, I was impressed by how beautifully decorated and clean the restaurant and hotel were. The service, though, was disappointing. The waitress didn't seem to know what she was serving, which suggested a lack of training. When I asked the front desk for the reservation price sheet, they gave me a handwritten one and said they didn't have it online.

The grounds and facilities were kept in good shape throughout my stay, and the staff were friendly, professional, attentive, and always around when needed. I especially recommend the massage beside the river. It left me feeling refreshed and completely renewed.

Our rooms were spotless, with good air conditioning and strong Wi-Fi. I booked full board for my client and ordered meals for myself. Chef John made delicious food from breakfast through dinner, and Mathews led a great birding tour with plenty of knowledge. At central reservations, Chikondi was very helpful, while David gave us a warm welcome at the front desk. The manager was friendly and knew a lot about activities in the area. Highly recommended.

The hotel was clean and welcoming, and we had a very enjoyable stay. The package included a morning safari in the National wildlife refuge, followed after lunch by a large boat trip. From the boat, we could comfortably see several dozen hippos, alligators, and other wildlife along the shore.

The meals made the full board package worthwhile, with banquet-like servings and plenty of options, from local dishes to Western-friendly choices. Our room was spacious and beautiful, and its sunrise view was breathtaking. Staff were attentive and exceptionally friendly throughout the stay. I also highly recommend the game drive in the National Park. Mathew knew so much and made the outing unforgettable. It was an amazing stay from beginning to end.
