Senora Leticia led an outstanding tour of Hacienda Yabucu, sharing its history, grounds, services, and other features. Her pride in the hacienda really came through. We especially liked the grounds, guest rooms, little chapel, and pool area. There’s a lot to offer, whether you’re after a simple stay or planning a large conference. The presentation room and big conference rooms stood out for business groups and events. We didn’t stay overnight, but we’ve added it to our list to tell people looking for this kind of property about it. It has many amenities you don’t find elsewhere. Highly recommended!

There were bicycles and a trail where we saw spider monkeys, deer, and more, which gave the kids something to do. The pool was clean, and the service was very good. The room was simple but clean, the restaurant food was good, and it’s a very nice hacienda.

We were mostly ignored while a group event got attention and catering, and the few people around didn’t seem to care about us as guests. There’s no front desk, very little staff, and no phone in the room, so there was nobody to ask for help with room problems. This felt more like an event hall than a hotel. The restaurant food was awful, and there’s no market or other food nearby. We wanted a drink but couldn’t get one until the restaurant’s two-hour dinner service. A guy handled check-in, then I never saw him again. He overcharged me $50 USD for the pet fee, more than I’ve ever seen in Mexico. I was told breakfast ran from 8 to 11, but at 8:45 the restaurant still wasn’t open. I had to leave and never got the breakfast we’d paid for. A total rip-off, and one of the strangest places I’ve ever stayed.

The staff were very friendly. They didn’t necessarily speak English, but we managed to communicate with Google Translate. The hacienda is away from the main roads, and we were the only guests during our visit. We felt safe and enjoyed our brief hotel stay.

We all had a lovely stay in this beautiful place. The food was tasty, rooms were clean, and the service was great. Everyone was nice and helpful, and the atmosphere was amazing. We’d love to return someday.
