The sea view and easy beach access were lovely, and I liked the pool. The building could use updates, the staff weren't friendly, and the room's AC didn't work well. Check-out was early, too. I wouldn't return.

The location is a real plus, with a nice pool and access to the beach. But this isn't a hotel anymore; it's rented out as Airbnb. The building feels old and unsafe because of the earthquakes, and the room had old furniture.
The building is falling apart and in terrible shape, and this place isn't what it used to be. Security will extort you if you have a friend over. There are much better hotels and buildings nearby, so avoid this place.
I stayed at La Palapa in Aculpulco in 2005 and it was good. These days, it's barely a trace of what it used to be. I wouldn't stay there again under any circumstances, even for free.
It's in a nice spot, though the building is old. The receptionist working that day was sour and rude, and seemed intent on causing trouble. Everyone else on staff was pretty nice.
