Hotel Club del Sol Acapulco by NG Hoteles

The beds were broken and uncomfortable, and the AC barely cooled the room. Everything else was just as bad: rude staff, dirty and run-down rooms, no Wi-Fi, and a filthy bathroom with a horrible smell. 0/10.

I had to find another hotel right away. The room was in awful shape, with sand across the floor and towels that smelled terrible. The conditions felt really unsanitary. There are better hotels around, as I found out afterward, so do your research. This place was horrible. I wish sanitation inspectors would come check it and shut it until it's properly cleaned.

The pool closes at 8:30pm, the old TV didn't work at all, and there really didn't seem to be any perks to staying here. There are spikes on the balcony too, lol. They say there's Wi-Fi, but it never showed up on our room devices. We had to ask at the front desk for the card with the login details, since we hadn't been given one at check-in. We were charged 200 Pesos per night for my partner's sister to stay, even though we're a couple in a two-bedroom room. You have to pay per night for every extra person, regardless of the beds, which seemed fair enough. But when his friends came along just to change before leaving, staff wouldn't let them into the room unless they paid $10USD each in cash. They said entering meant they were part of our group. No cards accepted. Someone was always watching the one working elevator to keep out anyone without a bracelet. That might be for safety, but with guests barred from rooms at any time, it felt like a money grab. The elevator only fits one family at a time, so expect to wait 5-10 minutes if you can't take the stairs. Also, when you flush the toilet it sticks and makes a really loud noise all the way down the hallway.

The taxi driver warned me that Club del sol wasn't a good hotel and asked if I was sure I wanted to go there. We were already booked, though, and I was traveling with my family, so we went ahead. At the entrance, chunks of concrete were coming loose near the top of the building. Check-in took a long time, and the elevator wasn't level. My boyfriend tripped getting in. The room was awful. There was mold in the kitchen, and the whole place smelled like rotting flesh and mold. The old bedding looked like it might have bed bugs, and the furniture was worn out and falling apart. We complained, but nobody did anything. I wanted to leave as soon as I walked in, and we found a better hotel right away. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, no matter how affordable it is. Look at the pictures and stay away.
