The pools, sea and restaurant amenities were great, and the hosts, valet and hotel attendants were all excellent. The room was fine for the price, though it felt dated. Some kitchen tiles had been patched, there was black mold on the clothes wire above the tub, and the bathtub had an unpleasant smell.

The food at the sunset restaurant was tasty, but prices outside the hotel are just as good for less. We went there to eat and asked the waiter about heading to the infinity pool, where there's usually a 250 $ peso deposit per person. When it was time to pay and go, they said our order didn't count because we hadn't mentioned it earlier. The whole thing felt like a kids' game, so we didn't want to spend more there. The hotel itself was nice enough and kind of clean, but I don't see why this behavior should be encouraged. Staff are paid minimum wage, too. In the room, the AC made a horrible metal-on-metal rubbing noise. The beach access was broken, and you have to pay to use the beds. As of June 2025, there was also a big, dangerous drop on the beach for kids that hadn't been fixed.

One of my favorite hotels in Acapulco, but prices go up about 60% on weekends. That's why I stayed at Hotel Acapulco for the weekend.
