HS HOTSSON Hotel Acapulco

Our booking was cancelled 40 minutes after we arrived because they wouldn't accept the credit card. They should have contacted us and said we could pay at the hotel when we got there instead of cancelling. What kind of hotel does that? None in Europe. The woman at reception was a joke and didn't even try to help. That's not the service you'd expect from a five-star hotel, as booking.com says it is. These people are frauds, and the hotel isn't worth even one star. Avoid this place at any cost. Book somewhere else if you're staying in Acapulco. This hotel is a joke run by a bunch of frauds. Stay away 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

The location is a real plus, right on the main strip near restaurants and the beach. The scenery and nightlife made Acapulco fun, and the kids enjoyed the pools. But the hotel stay left a lot to be desired. We arrived on time and still waited an extra hour for the room to be cleaned. They count every person exactly, charge extra for an additional 16 year old at the adult rate, and add a nightly parking fee. In the room, there was still sand on the floor and the AC was off. The view was a 4/10. There was no iron or fridge, and no breakfast included. We had to buy a cooler at a gas station for cold drinks, then were told coolers aren't allowed by the pool. At that point, it wasn't surprising. Want a pool towel? You have to leave a deposit of a few hundred pesos per towel. I know it's a business, but the customer experience needs work.

The pools are in every outdoor area, and getting to the beach is easy. The rooms are nice, the restaurant has plenty of options, and the staff were super helpful.

My husband and I stayed for seven nights and really enjoyed our time. The room had a view I loved, and even though renovations had just happened and our room was barely ready when we arrived, it was still in good shape. The staff were so kind and made the stay much better, even with a bit of a language barrier. Some nights there was a live band until about 1 AM, which made it hard to sleep after we'd spent all day touring and sightseeing on our feet. The boulevard outside is extremely busy all the time, so there's street noise too. We had the all-you-can-eat package. Unless you're a very picky eater, the food was delicious, and you can choose what suits you. The drinks can be strong enough, depending on who's making them ;)
