The setting is beautiful, and La Perla restaurant is a treat, but the hotel is in disrepair. It needs an owner and management team who’ll look after it. We found two cockroaches in our room. At 3k pesos a night, that’s not acceptable. The hotel operators need to wake up and get back to work.

The view was amazing, and the service was awesome! 😃🤩 I’m glad I came because the view really is that good, but the hotel itself is falling apart. The AC doesn’t work very well, there’s no safe in the room, and everything feels old and rundown. They don’t seem to invest in taking care of the place. Would I return? Probably not. But if you’ve never been, I’d still suggest visiting at least once just for the view. 😔

The views were beautiful and the atmosphere at night was so much fun. We’d been told a room with a view was available, but then the manager said they were actually sold out, so we had to take a room without one and got no compensation. We also didn’t know vendors come out at night, on the days of the diving show. There’s food, snacks, sweets, and knick knacks right there, so you don’t have to leave the area if you don’t want to.

The staff were always nice and helpful, and there’s a lot to explore around the hotel. From the lobby, bar, and restaurant, you can look out over the cliffs and see the cliff divers. My room had a beautiful, more private view of the ocean and divers. It felt like a dream. The hotel also has a three-meter-deep pool farther up the hill, reached by two cable cars from the first floor near the lobby. You do have to cross the parking lot and a street to get there, but the view is cool from up top. There’s another pool on the way down to the natural pool, about 1.5-2 meters deep, which is also a nice place to hang out. The natural pool is filled with water and fish, and you have to walk down several stories to sea level to reach it. There’s a kiosk nearby with chairs and tables where you can sit and look at the ocean. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels, and this one easily makes my top three for all the cool things it offers. It might even be my favorite.

We booked through hopper and were charged again when we arrived because, they said, we hadn’t entered the right number of people. In the room, towels, water, and complimentary toiletries were missing. We called reception, but they told us we had to walk back down the 10 flights of stairs to pick them up. There are no elevators, and we found cockroaches in the bathroom. After that rough first day, we went to the beach to have some fun. When we came back, a security guard met us near our room and said they’d found our door open. My mother and I had both checked it before leaving, so we knew we hadn’t left it open by mistake. Luckily, we’d only left a few clothes and toiletries behind, nothing valuable. The stay was overpriced, there was no Wi-Fi, and we had to wear wristbands the whole time. We couldn’t remove them without an extra charge, and they left tan lines. There’s no accessibility, customer service was poor, cleanliness was questionable, and the hotel can’t guarantee your safety. I will not recommend it to anyone.
