The hotel and its setting are lovely, and the staff were very courteous. There's a nice pool and places to sit and relax. It's a small complex, as you'd expect from a boutique hotel, which makes for a calm stay. But Otis caused catastrophic damage, and the whole area is still struggling to recover. We knew the region had been hit badly and chose to come anyway. Still, the hurricane shouldn't be an excuse to sell rooms and amenities that aren't there. We booked a fairly expensive "King room with SPA bath, AC and Kitchen." There was no kitchen or AC, and no SPA bath either, just a pool of cold water with no running water. The shower drain smelled like sewage so badly that the odor was still on our luggage and belongings after two washes. The owners knew the things advertised online weren't available, but blamed Otis. They offered an air freshener, a drain cover, and a downgraded room at another hotel for the last two nights, with unknown conditions. Normally I'd ask for a full refund, but since we knew about the disaster and willingly took the risk of visiting, and the hardship in the Acapulco region is real, we don't feel that would be fair. Check the room conditions before you commit.

The art and plants in the decor really make this place special. The common areas have lots of thoughtful little details, with a small pool and plenty of seating spread across several levels. Rooms are dated, but clean and well equipped. You can arrange breakfast too, and it was fresh and carefully prepared. A lovely little boutique hotel, and a great experience!

The shared space is really nice. My room had a strong damp smell, but opening the windows cleared it up after a day.
