Fairfield Inn & Suites Aguascalientes

The hotel felt like home during our three weeks there. The beds were great, with cozy pillows and soft bedding. Breakfast is included, though I wish the chef would offer more variety than Mexican meals 😉. I saw visitors from all over, including the USA and Japan. There’s a small commercial area nearby with more than three restaurants, a bank branch, and Enterprise rental car. Security is there constantly, and the hotel feels safe 🙏✨

The facilities were nice, the staff were kind and helpful, and the included breakfast was good. The bed was very comfortable too. If it hadn’t been for all the kids and teenagers around the hotel, it would’ve been a good stay. There was some kind of sports event, and the place was full of them. The noise was awful, so I had to call the front desk both nights to ask for them to quiet down. It didn’t seem like any adults were supervising them. The pool was crowded and messy too, and the kids weren’t respecting it. We stayed with our family over the weekend, Friday Nov 29th - Dec 1st, two adults, one teen, and one toddler. I’d booked a room with a king bed and a regular bed, but they had us down for just a king bed, which obviously wasn’t enough for all of us. They changed it promptly to a room with a king bed and futon, which was nice, but charged us extra. There’s plenty of room for improvement. Travelers should double check their booking and make sure they’re getting the room they asked for.

I’ve stayed here for more than 30 days this year, and this is always where I stay when I’m in Aguascalientes. The breakfast is great, the hotel is nice, and the people are friendly. There’s a great rooftop pool, and I often eat dinner at the rooftop tables with pizza from the place across the parking lot.

The room itself was okay, but we had the worst weekend ever. We’d booked for a family of four and were given a room with one bed. It took about an hour before we got the room we needed. Breakfast was awful, everything was dirty, the food was mixed up, and they served it on single use plastic dishes. The kids were using the waffle maker and making a mess of it and all the toppings. The only waiter was doing his best, but couldn’t keep up, and no one was helping or supervising the kids. The pool was so messy it couldn’t be used. At night, the other guests were extremely noisy and nobody seemed to be dealing with it. We called, and someone did come ask them to be quiet. The next night people in one room banged so hard on the wall that our bed moved. We called the front desk again. I don’t know if anyone did anything, but after a while the banging started again. In another room, unsupervised kids were playing loudly from around 11pm. When we called, the front desk said, “I'm sorry we can't do anything we already told them but that's it, maybe we can change your room.” We had a baby who’d finally fallen asleep after a hard time because of the noise, so we weren’t willing to move. They did nothing, and we couldn’t sleep. We’d been excited about our vacation, but we left exhausted and disappointed. I know a hotel can’t control every guest, but it could have more staff to help the waiter and some kind of policy about kids being left alone and unsupervised in rooms, or put families on one floor and other guests on another. We’re never going back, and we’re telling everyone they don’t have enough issue control. The woman at the front desk was very wrong to tell me, “I can't do anything.”
