I spent a whole June day at 7 columnas when a rare, slow rain set in. I read, relaxed, and wandered around outside and through the main rooms. I love Alamos even when it's scorching, so getting to enjoy the hotel this way felt special. The management was kind and happy to let me explore, and brought tea and toast-like snacks. The building had that feeling of home, but in a special place. This is just what I look for: friendly, welcoming, charming, attractive, and relaxed. No pretense, and not cute, just naturally lovely.

In a lovely old house that's been converted into a small hotel, the rooms are comfortable for sleeping and showering. There's no restaurant on site, though there's a bar next door. The central courtyard is lovely, with a small pool that's great for cooling off and relaxing. Some rooms have fireplaces and some don't. The location is fantastic, about three blocks from the main square.

It's a pleasant place and not too expensive, close to the center and main square. There's a small pool, a lovely terrace, plus a water cooler and microwave in the lobby, which came in handy. The terrace looked a little neglected, though. The pool table and foosball table were in very poor shape, and our room had no toilet paper.
