The lake is a nice extra, and there are plenty of lovely backdrops for photos. We got some really beautiful shots, though a few parts of the place could use maintenance. Bring lots of sunscreen too, since the mosquitoes and gnats are everywhere.
The grounds and facilities are beautiful, and it’s a nice escape from the city for photos or just a good time. Watch out for the odd insects, though. They aren’t mosquitoes, but they leave bloody welts that itch for days.
We had the whole place to ourselves when we went Monday at 10 am. Access for six people, photography crew included, cost $2,000, which felt worth it. It’s a great spot for a shoot. I was still wondering which cabins can be rented.
A gorgeous place, especially if you love taking photos.
The scenery is so striking it could belong in some surreal story. A fantastic area.
