Mision La Muralla

The setting around this old hacienda is beautiful, with open space, horseback riding, walks beside a babbling brook, and a pool to relax by with a book. There’s plenty for different family members to do during the day, then you can meet for a delicious dinner in the lovely dining room. On Saturday nights, staff share lively stories about the Revolution by the fire. If history and architecture interest you, there’s a lot to enjoy here. The rooms could use some updating. The beds and linens are comfortable, and the basic rooms I’ve stayed in were clean, but they feel dated and ready for a refresh. I plan to try an upgraded room next time and will update this review if it feels different. Even with the worn rooms, I’d absolutely come back. The staff have made our visits really enjoyable.

The place is very clean, and the food is consistently great. Staff are attentive and do what they can to accommodate guests. On weekends, there's a small acting troupe telling silly stories, some made up and some drawn from Mexican history or the mission itself. They're fun to watch.

My nephew had his wedding here, and it was spectacular. The whole staff was so friendly and kind, and the place is gorgeous and very well kept. Absolutely magical, and very clean. 10/10, hands down!

Walking around, I found some lovely spots for taking pictures and really enjoyed my time there. Everything is arranged to bring you back to the era of the Revolution, with each area decorated to look like an old Hacienda. The reception was very friendly, and the food was very good.
