CHN Hotel Monterrey Aeropuerto, Trademark by Wyndham

The room was surprisingly quiet, the AC worked fine, and the bed was comfortable. But there were stains on the carpet and chair, and we didn’t even have the basic necessities like towels. The location is handy for the airport, though there’s construction all around. Service was the worst I’ve had at a hotel that’s supposed to be “3-stars.” We were assigned the wrong room, and when we went down to sort it out, the woman who’d helped us didn’t apologize. She looked annoyed and barely made eye contact. The next morning I called the desk because we’d only been given one bath towel. The front desk woman with orange hair said she had nobody to bring towels up, didn’t know if any were available, and that I’d have to come down so she could check. I asked her to check first and call me, which seemed logical, but she said I’d need to call back because she was too busy “workin”. Eventually I got towels easily from a friendly man at the front. I wanted to avoid dealing with that irritating young woman again.

Breakfast was incredible, and they upgraded me to a very large room, basically an apartment. I had a great stay and would definitely come back if I return to MTY.

The food was garbage, and there weren’t any vegetarian choices. The dishes shown in their displays weren’t actually available. I ended up with a warm salad and warm ranch. The lights didn’t work, even with the card that’s supposed to turn them on. After I posted my review, the rating suddenly jumped from 2.5 to 4.3, so I think they’re removing reviews or posting fake ones to raise it. From the comments here, it seems they’ll just say they’re sorry and fix nothing. I’m going to make a video to let my followers and others know not to stay here. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

I loved how clean everything was, and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The bed and pillows were really comfortable, and the air conditioner worked perfectly. I need a very cold room all the time, and it felt like heaven. The restaurant food was delicious and very cheap.
