Finca la Virgen de Piedra

I loved the pool, and the warm climate in Atlixco makes this a lovely place to relax, spend time in nature, or get away with friends. The service was excellent.

There's a heated, clean pool ready to enjoy, and a fire pit area for romantic moments with family. It feels peaceful and relaxing throughout.

The staff were very friendly, and it could be a nice place to rest, but there are too many problems for me to recommend staying overnight. The pool was freezing and unbearable to swim in, despite being described to me as heated. The beds are old enough that you can feel the mattress springs. The curtains were poorly cleaned and had lots of cobwebs and spiders. There’s general maintenance to do, too: bathroom doors swing shut on their own, and the bedroom locks are old and hard to close. The so-called fridge is tiny, doesn’t cool properly, and isn’t big enough for the number of guests. The stove is just a small shared grill, so coordinating turns with other guests is difficult. They have rules for the pool and shared spaces, but people don’t follow them. During my stay, a group of families made noise late into the night and kept me from resting. I wouldn’t recommend it for an overnight stay, though it might be okay for a day trip.

For the price, it's not worth it. The place is neglected: dirty water came out into the toilet when it was flushed, one switch controls both the lights and fan, there are ants in the rooms, and the mattresses are old. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.
