The restaurant food was really good, and we enjoyed staying in a room with a view of the water. The hotel is in a good spot and seems like good value for money. The music gets loud and tiring if you spend the whole day there, though.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and I liked that the place felt a bit secluded for a more private stay. It’s too far to walk downtown, where most of the restaurants are, though. The views are beautiful. Only four rooms face the ocean, while the other two cabins are very small and just fit a bed.

The lagoon is easy to get to, and it’s a great spot for relaxing by the water. Food was average, nothing memorable, but decent for the price. The day pass is 400 pesos per person, including 300 pesos to spend on food and drinks, which felt fair. The only thing that bothered me was how they treated the suggested tip like it was required. That felt unnecessary. Otherwise, no big complaints, and it’s a good place to enjoy Bacalar.

We came for an afternoon drink and dinner, but the kitchen had closed at 5:30 without telling us, even though the website says it’s open until 11 pm. When I asked about promotions, they said there weren’t any, despite offers listed on the website. Everything looked worn out, old, or broken, and nothing like the photos. The staff were rude. I’d confirmed the prices before arriving and again at reception. When it came time to pay, they went back on what we’d agreed to and threatened to call the police if we didn’t pay. We only came here for the beach club, and it was the worst experience we’ve had in Quintana Roo. They offer no service and deserve no tip. Avoid this place.

We liked the restaurant and beach club so much that my friend and I came every day from another hotel. The Italian food was delicious, and there were gluten-free options. We enjoyed the hammocks, swings, loungers, pier, and lagoon access, and the service was very nice. A day pass costs 300 pesos and includes 250 pesos to spend on food. It’s worth it, and I’d happily recommend it. =)
