The hut was so comfortable, and everyone on staff was really friendly. Having kayaks and SUPs included at no charge was fantastic. We only wish we’d booked more nights. I’d choose a place right by the lagoon like this one, since the few public access spots get packed.

There wasn’t any guest Wi-Fi during our stay, which was a real problem because the signal in the village is poor and it’s hard to stay in touch. Yet videos were playing on YouTube at the bar, and staff even offered to put on something we wanted. The property has a nice view of the lake, plus boats and kayaks, and the facilities are comfortable. The place looks especially cute at night. Food is limited, though, and you can’t bring your own in, even if you end up spending the whole day there. The bathroom also had mould and buildup in the corners.

The rooms are modern, clean, and really nice. Beyond that, it was a letdown. The bar is just a table with four tall chairs, and the breakfast was supposed to include bread and coffee, but there was no bread, just coffee. For the price, this bungalow feels very expensive. A little better organization and service would go a long way.

The staff were really friendly, and they have kayaks and paddleboards available. It’s very close to downtown Bacalar, with parking too. The rooms were comfortable. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
