Park Royal Huatulco managed by Accor

The layout is nice, it's good value, and it's quiet. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The beach and restaurant take a bit of walking to reach, so keep that in mind. Food is okay, not great, but good enough. The gym still hasn't improved in two years. It needs at least a treadmill, two bikes are broken, and there should be fresh towels and sanitizer for wiping equipment, plus daily water checks. Someone with gym knowledge needs to check in on it a couple of times a day. They could also use an ice cream bar.

The rooms are roomy, clean, and very nice, with plenty of hot water and beautiful balcony views. But getting around was a real problem. The resort is built on a mountainside, with switchback roads and steps everywhere. Our room was 45 steps up, and another guest had 69. The advertised "shuttle" is a truck with benches in the back that you have to climb into and out of. It can mean waiting, then riding squeezed in with a full bench of people. Getting to the beach is also difficult. The beach and weather in Huatulco are great as always, but access is problematic, and I can't imagine how you'd get to safety in an emergency. Food service was lacking. The salad bowls were room temperature, as were the supposedly hot items. The a la carte restaurants sometimes closed without notice, even when the front desk thought they were open. There weren't signs to help find the restaurants or bars. Staff at the desk, bar, and restaurants seemed not to care and didn't understand basic English. There aren't enough restaurants or places to eat, either. The website photos and description don't match what we experienced, and we won't be back. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Stick to Dreams or Barcelo.

We're having a wonderful vacation. The staff are excellent, and breakfast is wonderful. Shout-out to our servers Ivan, Luisa, and Gadiel, and chef Gabby! They spoiled my husband for his birthday with pancakes and a candle. Always great service with a smile! ❤️

Breakfast at Adiamo was excellent this morning. Chef Gabby made wonderful omelettes, and Gadiel, Ivan, and Luisa were attentive and took care of everything we needed. They had us laughing, a great start to the day!
