The Alondra Hotel

The rooms were clean and the location is good. The pool is across the street, and the price felt a little high. Still, it was nice overall.

The female staff were friendly and helpful, but the male staff weren't friendly or helpful. The location is central, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. There's a pool across the street on the ocean side, separate from the hotel, though I didn't use it. For an off-season standard room at $80 USD night, I didn't see the value. There's no restaurant, and the rooftop bar was closed. To me, this is a $50 to $60 dollar room at best. Other nearby properties offer more services and better value, so do your research. I wouldn't recommend this place if other options are available.

The location is great and the service was okay, but I found the place overpriced for what it offers. They try to give you room cash for cheaper, which felt a little shady. They were stingy with toilet paper and soap, and there was no tissue or lotion in the room. After cleaning, they didn't replace the items that were already nearly gone. The beds were very hard, and the pillows felt like cement rocks. There weren't enough of them, and there was no blanket. I had to keep turning over once I got sore. The rooms are small, and the pictures only show the nicer ones. The TV picture was poor. They put a bracelet on guests as if it were a big resort, though it isn't one. I saw the owner at reception, and she didn't greet me or even smile, which made me feel unwelcome. The rooms were clean, I'll give them that, but I'd try other hotels.

The location is great, the rooms are clean, the pool was a perfect temperature, and the views were awesome. Service was friendly, prices were reasonable, and they accept VISA. Things are starting to break and need paint, so the place could use a little maintenance. I hope they keep up with it. It's a great hotel.
