Four Points by Sheraton Veracruz

It's an okay location, but not right by the sea and a long way from the tourist landmarks.

The pool needs work, with missing tiles and an uneven deck that put me off using it. The hotel itself could use some updates too. Still, I'd stay again because the front desk and other staff were amazing and went out of their way to help.

We found this among the cleanest, most sanitized rooms we stayed in across Mexico. The staff were very accommodating, and secure valet parking was included at no charge. The beach is close, and there's an optional breakfast buffet with plenty of delicious choices.

Some of the staff are amazing, which makes the management response all the more disappointing. My balcony glass fell and shattered, and I waited five hours for someone to fix it. The brackets were badly rusted, so this safety issue should have been handled before the room was occupied. I've sent management many emails about the property's condition, and this was the last straw. Management was no help, and Marriott Bonvoy's response was almost as bad. Avoid this place. The rooms are drab, old, and smell of mold, and everything seems to be decaying. The hotel should be shut down. The interior photos are from an ocean view suite I was upgraded to last November, and even that was an upgrade. Such a shame.
