We enjoyed our five nights and would recommend the hotel, with a few things to keep in mind. Our room itself was quiet, spacious, comfortable, and had a gorgeous view and a very good bed. The water nearby was calm and clean, but the beach wasn’t somewhere I’d choose to lie out: it’s more rocky than sandy, so shoes are needed. After about a 45-minute walk, the beach gets much nicer. The hotel is on the beach, but the main part of Bucerias is about a 30-minute walk away, mostly along that rocky shoreline. A car would be useful. The building is also right by the highway, so we could hear steady traffic while sitting on the ocean-view balcony. As New Yorkers, we didn’t mind much, and we couldn’t hear it inside the room, but noise-sensitive guests may want to consider it. Baklava is attached to the hotel but, oddly, isn’t affiliated with it. It’s stylish, the breakfast was especially good, and the staff were warm and attentive.

After spending the first ten days of a two-week vacation at a disappointing five-star all-inclusive and another place in PV, I took a chance on Hotel Ysuri for my last four nights. That’s when I finally had the peaceful, idyllic stay I’d been hoping for. I can’t wait to return, and after the other resort I wouldn’t risk trying somewhere else. Lorena was kind and helpful. I was given a lower-floor room because of my mobility issues. Room #13 didn’t have a view, but it was only steps from the bar, pool, restaurant, and beach view. I felt safe traveling alone and wasn’t disturbed by noise. The food was excellent, and everyone working there gave wonderful service. I spent 3/4 full days enjoying the pool and atmosphere, ate two meals a day, and slept very well in the comfortable king bed. I’m very fussy about food, so I was surprised by how much variety there was for me. As a woman with a disability, I was concerned when I arrived: the hotel is on a busy highway with nothing nearby to walk to, and stairs lead down to the main part of the property. There was a handrail, though, and once I got settled I had no desire to leave.

We spent a week here and found the staff attentive, the room roomy, the sea view beautiful, and the bed very comfortable. The quiet setting has a refreshing pool and poolside area beside the Baclava restaurant. There’s construction next door, but it didn’t bother us, and traffic noise wasn’t a problem. A car would make it easier to get out and explore. The front exterior could use quite a bit of work to feel as welcoming as the inside. I also wish the hotel supplied enough drinking water for guests. You can buy it at the restaurant, but doing that all week is inconvenient and expensive.

We came as a family group of ten, including a little kiddo, and even with all the rooms occupied the place stayed quiet. The two pools were spotless and well maintained. Our rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable, and the cleaning staff thorough. The restaurant attached to the hotel was great, with a good menu for every meal. Carlos, Fredrique, and Orlando were incredible. The staff overall were wonderful, too. Just plan how you’ll get around town, since finding an Uber or taxi for the return trip can be difficult at times.

A cozy little boutique hotel with lots of art and small decorative touches that give it character. My room was very spacious, with a king-size bed and easy beach access. Everyone on staff was great, from the morning restaurant team to the night guard who opened the door for me at 2am with a smile.
