We had a small room, and not having a refrigerator to keep drinks cold was the main downside. There were no washcloths either, and getting room service to provide any was difficult. Still, we enjoyed our week, especially the beach and pools. Beach access was easy, the bed was comfortable, and the pool and beach towels were nice and big.

I spent three weeks there in February 2026. The fifth floor room in the six story block across from reception had a spectacular view, but at these prices I expected better room condition. The bathroom was the low point: the shower never seemed properly cleaned, the fixtures were rusty, and the towels were so rough they felt like they could rub your skin raw. Maid service was minimal despite my daily tips. They made the bed, rarely changed the sheets over the three weeks, swept the tile floor, tidied the coffee pot area, and emptied the trash. At reception, it seemed only one person spoke English well enough. The restaurant was next to the beach and had an awesome view, but the food was basic and poorly prepared. They ran out of wine twice, and one waiter even said there’d only be enough for himself after his shift. Food took far too long to arrive, though I realize this was in Mexico. The beach was okay but rocky in places, while swimming in the ocean was safe and very good. The pools looked nice, but were basically only good for standing in to cool off. The poolside showers were decrepit, one didn’t work and the other barely did, and there were times with lots of screaming kids around the pools. I won’t return. It cost too much for what you get, the food wasn’t good, and the staff weren’t very accommodating.

This was my worst stay in Mexico so far. Communication between the front desk and the service man was poor, and it took four days to get our TV fixed. Even then the picture quality was still bad. We didn’t get the room shown in the pictures I’d seen or the one I booked. They moved us three days later, though I blame Expedia for the mix-up. Some days we didn’t get towels, there were no phones in the rooms, and the walls were so thin we could hear the neighbors banging cupboards. The restaurant had good food and a nice selection, and the pools were nice, but it was frustrating that nobody at the restaurant spoke English. There were no boogie boards to rent, no evening entertainment, and the beach was poor with lots of rocks.

The rooms were spotless, and the fantastic view made our stay very pleasant. The beach was somewhat rocky but manageable. I liked the hotel and plan to visit again, but I’ll probably find another place for breakfast and coffee. Their restaurant breakfast was overpriced and disappointing, especially the rubbery pancakes and watery coffee. We found better coffee at the Oxxo next door.

The hotel is busy, and there’s a restaurant right next door, but the infinity pool was what I loved. The views are stunning and there are plenty of spots to sit, including curbside. Downstairs, the hot with the 🏖️curbside 🌊 seating is right by the bay, only a few feet away! ❤️🙏🌊🦋😍
