Casa Palo Verde

Hotel Casa Palo Verde is a simple local hotel, a good fit if you'd rather stay away from the tourist-heavy resorts. The rooms aren't fancy, but they have AC, a small TV, and a kitchenette if you want to cook. The staff are amazing, and the location is great. The marina restaurants are about a 10-15 minute walk away, and there are lots of good places closer by, within 5-10 minutes on foot. The restaurant across the street is a hidden gem.

A clean, quaint hotel with helpful staff at the front desk whenever we had a question or concern. It's about a 15-minute walk from the main road, close enough to get around but away from downtown's chaos. Great value for the price and location, and I'd definitely recommend it for a trip to Cabo San Lucas.

Our upstairs suite looked out over the pool courtyard, and we couldn't have been happier. It was clean, secure, and spacious, with a king bed, full kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, filtered water dispenser, fast hot water, and a toilet that takes paper. The price was reasonable too. Parking was covered and secure inside the gated courtyard, and the neighborhood felt safe. The restaurant across the street was superb, and there's an Oxxo convenience store half a block away. Most of all, the concierge service was outstanding. Jose speaks excellent English and even booked me an appointment with his own English-speaking dentist.

Jose welcomed us in the lobby, showed us to our room, and made us feel at home. Everything was in place, the room was clean and cool when we arrived, and the AC worked throughout the stay. We also enjoyed the quaint pool and common area as a place to cool off and relax with a drink. The entrance was secure, as was our room, and parking was covered inside the hotel. The restaurant across the street was convenient for coffee, iced coffee, food, and snacks any time of day. Paul made a great coffee, was good company, and offered helpful suggestions for planning our time in Cabo. We took the bus from the airport, which drops you just around the corner. To get the bus back, you need to use the main stop across from Walmart. Avis’s car rental is across from the mall and harbor, about a ten-minute walk from Casa Palo Verde.
