ME Cabo by Meliá – Adults Only

The rooms were clean and the prices were reasonable compared with high-end resorts. Service was generally excellent, though parts of the rooms and balconies are showing their age. The rooms felt like a 4* resort, not 5*. We liked the beachfront location in Cabo San Lucas, but cruise ships drop people off there, so the beach and restaurants can feel crowded and touristy. It’s a short taxi ride to the marina area, but about 40 mins from the airport. Pool music got loud and clubby in the afternoons. We much preferred the quieter mornings before they started blasting it. Drinks at the pool were expensive, over $20 for tiny drinks in plastic glasses and around $12 for a beer. The room A/C runs on some sort of motion sensor, so it cuts off at night and the room got hot.

I didn’t even know the hotel had a concierge, so it was an instant extra bonus when Paulina came over after I checked in. She showed me to my room and made sure I was satisfied with everything. Then she arranged a table and made reservations for everything we needed. I’m really grateful for her service. She was attentive and responsive, and helped with suggestions for restaurants and places to go. I definitely recommend this hotel. Ask for Paulina, she’s the best concierge I’ve ever had and made my trip!

The balcony was a highlight, with a direct view of the pool and a beautiful ocean view. It was such a lovely place to relax. Martina also deserves a special thank you for keeping our room stocked and comfortable. Her attention to detail made our stay even better. Our stay at ME Cabo was amazing from the moment we arrived. The room was just the right layout and size, fully stocked with towels, toothbrushes, and other essentials. We also appreciated the water bottles and Nespresso setup, with sugar and cream.

The concierge team was kind, though their answers often felt indirect, likely because they were steering guests toward hotel services. Taxis are readily available, but downtown is only about a 5-8 minute walk if you want to explore locally. ME Cabo is beautiful and in a great location, with an appealing look and vibe, but the experience didn’t quite match the price. It sometimes seemed like staff catered more to beach club visitors than hotel guests. Beach service could be more attentive, with waitstaff acknowledging people when they sit down and offering drinks or food instead of making guests flag someone down. The welcome felt weak, and staff didn’t consistently greet us. Hospitality is a big part of travel, and that needs work here. Housekeeping also missed details: used glasses weren’t replaced, there weren’t enough face towels for two guests, and the robes weren’t refreshed. Those little things add up at a resort like this. The resort has a lot of potential and looks stunning, but customer service doesn’t match the price point. I’ve stayed at less expensive resorts with much better hospitality. With better service and attention to detail, this place could be top-tier.
