Sandos Finisterra All Inclusive

The water problems during our first three days kept this from being a five-star stay, and longtime guests told us that was unusual. There was also just one buffet, for breakfast only. Still, we had a very enjoyable visit from arrival to departure, and would consider coming back. The location is ideal for being near the marina, local shops, and walkable areas. We liked the comfortable, firm beds, thoughtful layout, uncrowded feel, and excellent food variety. Several staff members stood out: Antonio was knowledgeable and helped us from arrival through departure, including arranging transportation when needed. Megan, the hostess, was consistently welcoming, and Arturo went out of his way to make dining a positive experience.

Jefet is a fantastic dancer, a dancing king or queen, whatever you want to call him. The Thursday white party at Sandos Finisterra is worth checking out. The resort was fun, all-inclusive, and had plenty of entertainment, with lots of pools for different age groups and areas for families, singles, and others. There was nightlife for singles, and weddings every day. The Thursday party had a dance group and food. Rooms are really large, though some have been renovated and most haven’t. Food was decent, with several dinner restaurants and lots of breakfast choices, though the eggs were cold most days. Staff in Mexico were very attentive to guests coming and going. I’d return to this property or its sister property someday.

Our wedding here was incredible. Paulina and Wendy were accommodating, communicated so well, and gave us lots of flexibility and control over the plans. The ceremony and reception spaces were perfect. We have no regrets and would do it all again.

The service and upkeep never came close to what we expected for the price. Our room felt dated and neglected, and staff were slow and inconsistent. We didn't feel the care or professionalism you'd expect at a luxury resort. We chose this place expecting a real five-star stay, but it was one of our most disappointing hotel experiences. Other Los Cabos resorts, like Hyatt Ziva, show what five-star facilities and service can look like. This property doesn't meet that standard. I also question whether some of the five-star reviews reflect what guests actually experience. We wouldn't come back.
