The location is good, and the Wi-Fi works well. The air conditioner is effective too, and there is hot water, though it never gets very hot. Those were about the only bright spots for us. For what they charge, the room is in awful shape, and this was one of the worst places we stayed in Mexico. There was mold in the shower, peeling paint, a ceiling hole, stained bedding, dim lighting, and no toilet paper. Our booking was for two, but we got one towel. The windows had no mosquito nets, so opening them wasn't an option, and the bins didn't have liners. They changed the sheets, but the replacements and blanket still felt sticky and waxy. Water pressure kept changing, there was no shampoo, and the towels were small and scratchy with nowhere to hang them. The fan was loud when it worked, and the room looked nothing like the photos and was pretty ugly. I hope the owners take this seriously and fix things. As it stands, the place doesn't come close to being worth the asking price.

We wanted a clean room with the basics in a handy spot, not fancy furnishings or a doorman, and this hotel gave us that and then some. The price was fair, and the staff paid attention and helped when needed. We had the small room with a double bed. The location is a big plus: a short walk to the Malecon, two blocks from the main square, and one street over from Calle 59 and its restaurants. The room was very clean, enough to make us willing to stay again despite a few annoyances. There was just one accessible outlet in the bedroom, the thin plastic toilet seat shifted around, and the bathroom floor was extremely slippery. With no shower mat and a rain shower that splashes water everywhere, it felt risky.

You can walk to the restaurant street in about five minutes and reach the sea in around ten. The staff were really friendly, breakfast was good, and our room got cleaned every day. My only complaint was that there wasn't much of anywhere to sit outside the room.

In Campeche, this is hard to beat. Lovely owner and staff, a great spot, and just a lovely place to stay.
