The location is close to the airport, but the stay was rough. The bed was miserable, the mattress badly worn, there was no hot water, and we weren’t allowed to eat in the rooms. The manager came across as rude. We had to ring a bell to get in, and at night the manager had to unlock the gate even for a food delivery. They also said they wouldn’t let us leave until morning. There was secure on-site parking for just one vehicle. We had reserved a room with two beds, but they first tried to put us in two rooms and charge extra. After I showed the reservation, they honored it, then asked us not to tell the owner, I guess, that they hadn’t charged extra for the two-bed room.

It wasn’t close to the airport, and the place wasn’t clean or worth the money. The people running it seemed interested only in getting paid. They wouldn’t help even when we needed it. A real shame.

We felt welcome and, above all, safe. The room was very clean, had AC, and was comfortable enough for a night. It’s a decent place, just don’t expect a Hilton Inn. Since it’s a long way from the street, arranging a taxi to the airport would help. Bring food and water before you arrive. They have some snacks, but there isn’t much nearby, so eat a full meal beforehand if you’re hungry. The place really isn’t what some people say it is.

A peaceful, relaxing place in Cancun, and the people running it were pretty friendly.

Our flight was cancelled late at night, and after a full day in airports and on a plane, we were tired and hungry with few places available. An airport advisor who said they could translate recommended a nearby B&B and transport there and back to the airport. We paid 3330 pesos, or £130 English sterling, per room for two rooms, after being told they were modern and clean and had food and takeaways nearby. That wasn’t true. The next day, Air B& B showed the going rate was about £20 a night, and we felt the advisor and taxi driver had overcharged us. I can’t say for sure whether the person at the accommodation knew, though he was paid for our stay. At arrival, the taxi stopped at a huge metal gate topped with barbed wire. After a few loud knocks, a man let us in, seeming a little confused to see us, and showed us to our rooms. Bars on the windows made me wonder whether they were there to keep people out or stop us getting out. The room was musty, poorly decorated, with bugs squashed on the wallpaper and a clothes peg holding the curtains shut. There was one small towel, a little bar of soap, and no instant hot water. No tea or coffee setup either. A man in the shop offered green tea made with hot tap water, which I declined. The shop had plenty of pot noodles, but no kettles, so we didn’t eat those. We called for pizza, waited an hour, and gave up around 1am. The only reason I gave this so-called B&B one star is that the roof didn’t leak and I wasn’t murdered in bed. It was possibly the worst place I’ve ever had the misfortune to stay. We were only there a few hours, but it was a miserable night. Be wary of people outside the airport offering help, since they may be scammers.
