Beach Palace Family Resort & Spa - All-Inclusive

Our wedding at Beach Palace was at the end of July, with about 70 guests. The ceremony on top of the Sky Terrace was beautiful, with a great ocean view, although it was definitely hot up there. They had a water station for guests. Because there was a 25% chance of rain, we moved the reception to the ballroom. The decorations were lovely and there was a wonderful range of food, all included. The DJ did a great job and we had a good time, but the ballroom was too hot, and I don’t think the AC was working properly. I also wasn’t a fan of the carpet, so hopefully the planned renovations will update the floor. The resort itself needs updates, and I’m looking forward to seeing it after the renovations. I enjoyed the food and drinks during our stay and slept well. The bartenders were attentive and fun, especially at the Sky Terrace bar, where the view was really nice. Planning the wedding mostly went well, though some miscommunication meant a lot of back and forth. Aranza was very nice and tried to make sure I was happy when hiccups came up. The photographers and videographers were also lovely and did a great job. They helped us pose and captured all the images we requested within the time we’d booked. The photos and videos turned out beautiful. Just be aware that you choose your photos afterward, and extra pictures beyond the package are expensive. Most of my friends and family also had a good stay. A few problems came up for them, though. Some guests’ complimentary shuttle bookings showed up as not complimentary, so book early and be ready to contact the resort to sort that out. One guest’s toilet had problems and she waited a long time to check in. She was pregnant and asked for non-alcoholic drinks, but they kept bringing her alcoholic ones. My dad and brother’s room service meals arrived cold. One guest’s airport shuttle also ran into the check-in issue: my brother had booked a room for himself and my cousin, but she arrived first and had to wait a couple of hours because the booking listed him as Adult 1. As Adult 2, she should have been allowed to check in without him. They need to change this policy for people arriving from different places. I’m extremely afraid of bees and wanted artificial flowers for the ceremony, but they wouldn’t allow them. They reassured me they’d spray a deterrent on the flowers, but there were still too many bees, which distracted me as I tried to hold my composure at the altar. It shows in the wedding video and photos. I think artificial flowers should be allowed in cases like mine. The in-room jacuzzis also had very low water pressure, and sometimes the shower water was cool when it should’ve been hot. Hopefully the renovations will fix that.
