Courtyard By Marriott Cancun Airport

The breakfast buffet is one of my favorites, and the lunch and dinner menu is great too. There’s a nice gym, a nail salon, and an Oxxo right by the hotel entrance. The rooms are clean, the beds cozy, and I love the charming pool area. My husband and I stayed here many times when flying in and out of Cancun. Since we live in Isla Mujeres, it was always nice to spend a night here before or after visiting family and friends in the States. It really became a second home. My husband passed away recently, and coming back to the Courtyard without him was sad. The staff welcomed me with so much love. They all knew him and loved him too. We arrived around 10:00 PM with about 50 other passengers, all tired and grumpy after losing a day at the airport during an unexpected Frontier Airlines delay. The hotel staff got everyone checked in quickly and stayed friendly and upbeat through the rush. They also arranged a late dinner for those of us who hadn’t eaten since breakfast, and the food was surprisingly good. Breakfast the next morning was good too. The room had small double beds rather than queens or a king, so sharing one was a bit cramped. I hope I never need another hotel near the Cancun aeropuerto, but if I do, I’d stay here again. Frontier really let us down.

The grounds are beautiful, and the hotel is clean, with comfortable beds. We usually stay here when we land in Cancun before heading on to our resort. There’s a restaurant on site with great food and service. Try the Mexico plate if you want a few different things, and the ceviche is awesome.

I really don’t get all the bad reviews. The rooms were spotless, the cleaners were pleasant, and the bed was super comfortable. Ours had a fridge and coffee maker, too. The garden and pool are lovely, with lots of places to sit outside, and it was very quiet. There’s an Oxxo about a two-minute walk away. The shuttle was great, and both the front desk and restaurant staff were very nice. Reception was accommodating about a late checkout. The food was excellent, room service included, though it was a bit pricey. I’d highly recommend this hotel.
