Hive Cancun by G Hotels

My husband and I spent 10 days here and were treated with kindness and respect the whole time. Supervisor Javier, bartender Alejandro, Felipe, and all the staff were caring and attentive, making sure our needs and concerns were handled. The room was clean, and there were cooking facilities. A local supermarket and Walmart were within walking distance, and Jesus the barber did an amazing job cutting hair. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. I’d rate The Hive Hotel 9 stars and highly recommend it.

The staff made us feel at home from our first moments at Hive Hotel G. The reception team were warm and professional, the bartenders were upbeat and careful with every drink, and the restaurant waiters were quick, patient, and genuinely attentive. Room service was professional, the hotel was spotless, and cleanliness seemed to be a real priority. We enjoyed every meal, with fresh, high-quality food that was nicely presented. Gent, the manager, deserves a special thank you. She was attentive and caring, and personally made sure we had what we needed. Every little detail was handled, and we felt valued throughout the stay. My wife and I had an exceptional visit and would happily return. I recommend this hotel in Cancun for its service and atmosphere. Thanks to the whole team. ❤️

Getting into the city was difficult because the hotel is far from the center. The airport is nearby, but a 15-minute ride cost 700 MXN. Our two-level suite was spacious, quiet, and had a comfortable bed. The hotel and staff were nice, but the services weren’t the best. In December, the sun only reached the area for sunbathing between 11 and 13, and the large pool had no sunny spot. The kitchen was empty, with no equipment. We asked reception for supplies and got one extra glass, but no washing liquid, pan, or anything else to make a proper breakfast. I wouldn’t really call the included breakfast free: it was toast with maple syrup, some fruit, small muffins, coffee, and fresh juice. That was it. The room was spacious and fairly clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were nice. There’s a 7/11 just 75 feet away for water or snacks. The nightly price was reasonable, and an Uber only took about 25 minutes to reach the hotel zone. The walls were paper-thin, though, so we heard our neighbors talking as well as heavy street traffic. Breakfast was abysmal. We sat at the outdoor counter and were offered coffee once, but nobody came to take our order. The small service area was nearly empty, with just crumbs and a few pieces of fruit. It didn’t look like a good idea to eat from it.
