A quiet place to spend the night. Nothing fancy, but okay for the price, and the staff are friendly. They need to clean the rooms better, though. The housekeeper doesn't do a good job, so no tip deserved.

The price is what brought us here, and the savings over a bigger hotel or one in the hotel area are worth it. It's a small place with very firm beds, and the bathroom has an odor that won't go away. The staff are attentive and quick to handle requests. Convenient bus lines go to the beaches and hotel area, and the makers are nearby.

The rooms and bathrooms are dirty. A swipe with a paper towel makes it obvious nobody's cleaned in a while. There's no hot water, and there are no outlets near the beds. The linens were also not unclean. If you can, stay away.

The staff were friendly, the bedding was clean, and the location is handy for the bus station and a good outdoor market. That's why I gave it two stars. The rest was rough. We never had hot water, and the hollow interior door had no deadbolt. The only extra lock was broken, so I was afraid we'd be robbed. The room and bathroom smelled of mildew so badly that it got into everything in our luggage. A cat outside the window cried day and night like it was dying, and the walls were paper-thin. When people next door brought women back at 2 am, we could hear EVERYTHING. The last straw was coming back one night to find the rooftop storage had run out of water, so we couldn't flush or shower. You get what you pay for, I guess. We figured that was just Cancun, given the cheap hotel prices and prior reviews. We switched hotels at the last minute. I wish we'd paid the extra $30/night from the start, since we got a much nicer place for not much more.
