I chose it for the price and location near the bus station, just for one night after arriving late in Cancun before taking a bus to PDC the next day. I wasn’t expecting a luxury resort, but the basic safety was missing. My room, number 17, had a window onto the main hall that wouldn’t lock, so someone could open it and get into the room easily. There’s no elevator, and the lack of sound insulation meant I could hear people in the next room as if they were with me. I barely slept. The water pressure was so weak that showering took an hour. At least the whole place was clean and the staff were very nice.

I’m in room 23 and have had a very good stay so far. Marisol at the front desk has been pleasant, always smiling, and really helpful. She booked my sightseeing trips around Cancun and helped with other things I needed to be comfortable here. The other staff have been nice and helpful too, though they hardly speak any English. I hope things stay this good until I leave on the 10th. A microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge in the rooms would make this an almost perfect place to stay. They’d be a small investment.

This isn’t a place for anyone who wants quiet or sleep. The basic room had old, broken, used furniture, and the guy at reception seemed to think it was a club, playing loud music on the TV at midnight.

What I found in the room didn’t match the introduction or ads. There were roaches, no electrical outlet for charging my phone, and I couldn’t get the TV to work. The young woman at the night desk was mean and unhelpful, though the two men working during the day were nice. The hotel is in a hidden, poor, stressed neighborhood where I felt unsafe. It seemed to be a locals-only hotel, with no tourists in the neighborhood. I won’t stay here again or recommend it.

They welcomed me warmly, and everyone was nice. I stayed in room 13 and met Marisol at reception. She was sweet and accommodating, and I’m glad I met her.
