Marriott Cancun, An All-Inclusive Resort

The resort was clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful almost everywhere. We were pleasantly surprised by the food. Casa Madre was our favorite for breakfast, and we loved the ceviche and taco stand at lunch. Dinner at Casa Madre was the best too. The other dinner choices were fine, just not as good as those two meals. The checkout left a sour note after five lovely nights. Our airport pickup was at 2:30 pm, and the day before we left I asked for a late checkout. The front desk arranged 1:00 pm and said anything later would cost $60 per hour, but that we could stay and use the resort until departure. A few minutes before 1:00 the next day, Marisol said she’d remove our wristbands and we couldn’t eat or drink anymore. I explained what I’d been told, and after some more discussion she gave us a pass until 1:30. We were also charged a $5 per day environmental fee. At check-in, we’d been asked for a credit card and told nothing would be charged unless we added extras. The fee wasn’t disclosed in our Chase Rewards points reservation or when we checked in. We still enjoyed the resort and would recommend it, but I wish management understood how much these checkout issues affected the end of our stay.

I loved the food and drinks here. The restaurants were all great, especially Dalphina and Hanna, and room service was so good. The ice cream, pizza, and tacos by the pool were delicious too. My favorite drinks were the wild berry mojito at the lobby bar and the passion fruit daiquiri by the pool or beach. The beach setup and views felt luxurious, though getting into the water is really rocky, so watch your step. The staff were amazing, kind, and helpful, and the events and entertainment were fabulous. I had the best time on our family trip and can’t recommend this resort enough.

We spent six days here with our two small children, and it was a wonderful stay. The resort was clean and accommodating, and the staff made a real difference. Hugo was extremely helpful and friendly. Karla, our housekeeper, arranged the kids’ stuffed animals in cute new ways every day, so they were excited to get back to the room. Carlos was a phenomenal server, and Gaby and Alex at the camp club made our child feel comfortable and ensured she had a blast in the activities. I’d recommend it 10/10.

The food was amazing, and the hotel’s convenient location made getting around easy and affordable. Uber rides were usually $4-$6, and we were close to everything, especially nightlife. The resort is on the smaller side, but feels intimate and well designed. It’s beautiful and well maintained, and I appreciated the complimentary room upgrade through my Marriott status. The beach was a bit rough but still enjoyable. Entertainment could be better, though it wasn’t terrible and didn’t spoil the stay. Jose and Santiago made a great first impression when I arrived: they helped with my luggage and made check-in smooth and welcoming. Their kindness and professionalism stood out. I had a great stay and would recommend the hotel for its service, convenience, and food. Thanks again to Jose and Santiago for such a pleasant arrival.
