Occidental Tucancun All Inclusive

The resort is beautiful, the food has been consistently good, and there is always something to do at Occidental Tucancún. Yocelin and Enrique made the stay even better. Yocelin was attentive around the pool, checking that people were looked after and suggesting great drinks. Enrique made delicious cocktails and brought positive energy every day. They both went out of their way to make guests feel welcome and appreciated. Thanks to them, our vacation felt extra special.

The buffet layout caused a lot of confusion and backups, and the food was only so-so, though there are plenty of choices and you can find something to eat around the clock. The room felt a little dated. Still, the resort seemed safe and well looked after, and we had a good time by focusing on the positives. We're upgraded members, but will probably look at other places before returning. We loved the beach and the location, and the cleanliness and care around the resort were phenomenal. Antonio at the adults only bar, Vincent in the Mexican restaurant, and Secundino in several restaurants gave us amazing service as his rotation changed. Elsewhere, service was less consistent. There are lots of bars, but they don't serve alcohol before 11am apart from mimosas, so no morning Bloody Mary. We did find a nice liquor store within walking distance if you want something for your room. The main pool had lots of activities, which looked like a fun option for people who enjoy that.

Jose Martin at reception made us feel at home from the first hello to the end of our stay. He was professional, kind, attentive, friendly, and dedicated, and always seemed happy to see us. Thanks to him, our first trip to Cancun for our first wedding anniversary was even more special. He arranged towel doves and rose petals on the bed, a bottle, and decorated desserts with chocolate dipped strawberries for our anniversary. A couple of days later, he also set up a small cake and birthday balloons for my husband's birthday, and reminded the waiter to sing to him. He deserves a raise, truly 10/10 service! We fell in love with this place. It's the best hotel we've ever stayed in, with friendly staff, all-inclusive service, excellent food and drinks, and a wonderful view. We'll make it our getaway spot.

Sabino was always ready to help, and we really appreciated him. The staff as a whole were welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The resort was clean and well cared for, which made it easy to relax. We enjoyed the daytime activities, and there was a range of entertainment each night, so we always had something to do. Food quality was consistently high, with lots of options. The à la carte restaurants were a highlight, and the premium option added a lot to our stay. Booking à la carte the day before was convenient, and the premium lounge was a great perk, definitely worth it. We had a wonderful experience at Occidental Tucancún and would gladly recommend it for a relaxing getaway. We'll be back.
