The beach club is only a few meters from the cabins, which made everything feel easy and relaxing. We spent a weekend at Punta Blanca Beach House with family and had a really good time. The cabins are comfortable and have what you need for a break, though they’re not luxurious. The food was tasty, and the staff stayed attentive throughout, which we appreciated. Bring mosquito spray, especially for the evenings. It’s a small thing, but being prepared helps. The one downside for us was the shoreline. The sea has advanced quite a bit in that area, so the beach is smaller now. That’s a natural issue and not the hotel’s fault, but it’s worth knowing if you’re expecting a wide beach. We thought it was a great spot to relax and disconnect with family.

The rooftop pool and beach views were hard to beat, and the food was amazing. My wife and I came for my birthday and had an absolutely amazing time. Ana, Santiago and Jennifer looked after us so well. The staff were more than accommodating, made the stay feel personal, and helped whenever we needed something. We’d highly recommend Punta Blanca beachfront boutique if you’re after rest and relaxation. We already can’t wait to return!

The beach and water are gorgeous, the setting is fantastic, and the cabanas are wonderful. The people working here are lovely and work hard, and we’d love to come back for the setting. But the place is clearly understaffed, and the service was terrible. We waited all day for the room to be cleaned. The food was mediocre, and menu items were often unavailable. The owners need to put money into staffing, maintenance, and better cooks. Rooms should be cleaned promptly, and the cabanas need a full set of bed linens, low chests of drawers in the bedrooms, and safety railings on the stairs and at the dangerous opening down to the lower floors from the second-floor bedrooms. Broken or damaged appliances need fixing or replacing. A snack option would help too, even a vending machine, since there aren’t any shops nearby.

We tried several authentic Mexican and Yucatan breakfast dishes, and they were fresh and delicious. Oscar served us quickly and was very attentive, always answering courteously. We had an amazing experience at the breakfast restaurant. Ask for Oscar, he’ll take good care of you. I’ll review our room separately.

Our cabana had a balcony, its own dipping pool, and a lovely beach view. The AC above the bed leaked a little, and the wine fridge is tiny, so a regular mini fridge would be a big improvement. During one night of heavy rain, water came in through the front, though fortunately our sleeping area was upstairs. Falling asleep to the waves was wonderful. The beach has lost some ground, apparently after Hurricane Melissa caused the shoreline to shrink some meters. There’s work underway to preserve it, and we hope it’s still there when we return. This remote, quiet area is along a dirt road, and a 4x4 is highly recommended for getting to this part of Cancun. We loved that. We drove farther north to Isla Blanca, Cancun’s northernmost part, and found stunning turquoise water, mostly locals, and an undeveloped stretch that felt like one of the region’s last untouched places. Punta Blanca Boutique Hotel gave us the intimate, laid-back escape we wanted, so different from the giant all-inclusive resorts and corporate hospitality. It’s small, peaceful, and dog-friendly. With around a dozen staff, you get to know people by name. Big shoutout to Jaime, Roberto, Edwin, Alvaro, and Hefe at the restaurant/bar. They were the best crew. Breakfast is included and consistently great. The morning team made sure it arrived on time, kept drinks topped up, and took good care of us. I run a service business and work nonstop, so I really respect their work ethic. It shows in how they treat guests. We loved Punta Blanca Boutique Hotel. It feels authentic and peaceful, far from the “plastic” Cancun resort experience. It’s a perfect fit if that’s the kind of stay you want. If you expect a big all-inclusive, you may not enjoy it.
