Hotel Riu Caribe - All Inclusive

The pool areas got a bit crowded at peak times, which is to be expected at a popular resort. Some restaurants were better than others, but we always found something we liked among the good range of food. Hotel Riu Caribe is clean, modern, and well maintained after the renovation, with comfortable rooms and a fun, relaxing atmosphere. The beautiful beach and activities and entertainment throughout the day made for a great stay. Staff were friendly and hardworking from the moment we arrived. Excellent vacation, good value for the price, and we'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Cancun. We'd gladly come back.

Local cuisine is phenomenal. Other food was decent, but nothing spectacular. Service was excellent, and everyone from Riu Caribe was friendly and helpful. Our comfortable room was very clean, the drinks were yummy and had the punch we wanted, and the parties were super fun, especially for people watchers. The one blip was the charge for a sheet. My boyfriend had a cut on his foot that started bleeding again without him noticing, leaving a spot about 2"x5" on the bottom flat sheet. The person who cleaned our room reported it, and we were charged $78. That's ridiculous for one sheet, and really disappointing. We tried rinsing it out, but could only fade the stain. Other than that, we were very satisfied. The sheet charge is why this is four stars.

For my birthday, I chose Riu Caribe, and the staff made the occasion feel special and memorable. From arrival, everyone was welcoming and professional, and I felt valued throughout my visit. My room was comfortable, clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully laid out, which made it easy to relax. The hotel had a warm, welcoming feel, and guest care showed in the little details and every interaction. The bar staff were especially friendly and provided excellent service. A special thank you to Joseph for being so attentive and friendly during my stay. I had a wonderful visit and was genuinely impressed by the service and attention to detail. I'll definitely be back within the year, see you soon!

The late-night food selection was my biggest complaint. They need a late-night pizza bar or hot food station for guests out partying, like many other resorts have. A fridge full of cold sandwiches and burgers just doesn't cut it after hours. The place itself was beautiful, remote, laid-back, and full of friendly people. There was a younger crowd with a strong party vibe, so if that's what you're after, you'll have a great time. The atmosphere was chill and the location was beautiful, but that crowd wasn't my cup of tea. Lots of teenagers and younger adults seemed ready to party nonstop. I still had a great time, though if you're over 35 and after a more mature vibe, this might not be your preferred resort.
