Rodero by Solymar Beachfront Condos in Hotel Zone

The room had an amazing view, and it’s great for kids. Top service too, mr rodero is a great host!

We were there for eight nights and the sink stayed clogged the whole time. The toilet seat was broken, and we ran out of toilet paper and clean towels. There was no room service, either. The cabinets were old and rundown, and there weren’t any closets.

The condo itself was nice, and the view was lovely, but the room felt neglected and badly maintained. A blind was missing, and the bathroom, shower, sink, microwave, and dishwasher were dirty. Some things were rusty, the toilet seat was loose, and the cold water tap wouldn’t turn properly. They hadn’t left toilet paper, and even after we asked, none was brought to us. It made for a really unpleasant stay.

We’ve stayed in these apartments twice because we felt so comfortable there. The host, Diego, was friendly and quick to respond, and gave us a warm welcome. The ocean-view rooms are worth choosing, and the spacious rooms have the basics you need: a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and toaster. The beds are very comfortable. I even spotted dolphins on three different days, and I thought the value for money was excellent. The resort is right by a gorgeous beach, with pools and sun loungers. There’s also a restaurant, a small grocery shop, and an ATM. Security felt strong, with staff asking for your ID whenever you enter or leave. Getting around was easy too. Buses come every five minutes and go to the center of the hotel zone, the ADO bus station, downtown Cancun, and places like Coco Bongo and the excursions.
