Selina Cancun Zona Hotelera (Ht)

Natalia and Paula greeted us with smiles and were so friendly and welcoming. That helped make up for the cold service we'd had at first. Our stay got off to a rough start because the toilet didn't work, and the front desk didn't seem keen to help. We were about to ask Expedia for a refund when the front desk manager moved us to another room. Things have been great since then. We've still got a few days left, so I hope the service keeps improving! 😁

The free luggage storage was a real highlight. We arrived early, and they let us leave our bags in a dedicated, locked room at no cost. They offered the same when we checked out and were waiting for our flight. When we came early, we sat in the poolside common area to enjoy the sun, and within 15 minutes the bartender came over with free margaritas, introduced himself, and checked that we were comfortable at the hostel. Shout out Salvador. I don't remember the booking price, just that it was the cheapest, so I wasn't expecting much. The service turned out to be amazing, with plenty of common areas, a large outdoor pool, and drinks priced fairly for the area. Food nearby is great, and downtown is just a 12 peso bus ride away. It's not an all-inclusive resort, of course. I gave the rooms 4 stars because the window had no screen, and with the mosquitoes, opening it wasn't worth it.

Sitting by the lake was so peaceful, and the whole hotel felt beautiful and relaxing. I loved that it was so close to nature, with lizards and birds around. Paola and Nadia were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They even made us custom welcome drinks and took us to a night market, where we had a really great time with them.

The grounds are spacious, beautiful, and well cared for, and seeing so many iguanas roaming around was a treat. The hotel is in a fantastic spot, close to everything but quiet itself, in a lovely part of the area. Our room was large and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Nadia and Paula, who welcomed us and hosted lots of free activities for guests. For the price, it has a lot to offer. I'd happily stay again and recommend it to travelers looking for a slightly cheaper but still great option.
