The water didn’t work for our entire stay. After a 16-hour travel day, we had no shower, no water to flush the toilet, and none for washing our hands or brushing our teeth. Diego said it was an external issue and expected us to manage. We had to message him, the manager, because the place is totally automated, with no staff on site to help or take responsibility. He was the rudest, least helpful person I’ve ever dealt with. We kept pushing for a whole week and got a refund only for the night we couldn’t stay, not for the first night when there was no running water. We never got an apology. This has been a terrible headache. Diego cancelled my booking on booking.com to hide my review and sent abusive messages, so I’m reposting it here. Please don’t give these crooks your money.

The room smelled like mold, and I may have had bed bugs because I woke up with bites. The restaurant downstairs was nice to eat at, though a little pricey. It wasn’t a good stay for me.

The downstairs restaurant was convenient and good, and the place served its purpose. It’s a budget hotel with automated entry. The room smelled musty and the water pressure was poor. I wouldn’t stay again.

The rooms were good and the beds were comfortable, but there was no hot water on either night. The hotel turned off the water heater. The manager confirmed the water was extremely cold because mornings at this time of year can drop to 15C.

Carolina made a stressful end to our Cancun trip much easier. After trouble with another place, we found this little hotel and they managed to book five rooms early that morning on short notice. Everything was spotless and beautifully designed. We later learned it had only been open a month, and some of our group were the first to use their rooms. Carolina was professional and accommodating throughout. Great option if you want a comfortable stay at an affordable price.
