Suites Costa Cancun

The only things going for this place were its location and the courteous staff. We stayed five days, hoping for just a basic place to sleep and shower, but even that was too much to expect. The staff were nice enough to move us to another room, but the whole building was a mess. It’s an old building that used to serve a different purpose and is now being used as a hotel. The rooms were old and dirty. The shower was barely a trickle, especially with hot or warm water, and we found hair in the bed and in the drain. Towels were old, stained and cut. The decor was odd, with creepy posters covering the walls. The best moment of the stay was leaving.

I was charged 500 pesos for toothpaste. The posters were strange, and the place felt like it was inside a closed office building. Staff offered no service beyond check-in.

Suítes Costa is basic, not a luxury hotel, but it worked well for us in Cancun. We stayed two nights and mostly used the room to sleep after spending our days on outings and coming back tired. Nearby pharmacies and markets were really helpful. The team was very attentive and helped us a lot. Receptionist Mikaela was especially kind and went beyond what we expected. If you want luxury, look for an all-inclusive; this place suits you well if you plan your schedule and make the most of Cancun.

The location is ideal, but noise is a real issue. If you want peace and quiet, or can't stand noise, steer clear.
