Hotel México Plaza Celaya

Breakfast was good when I stayed last year. The location is handy, with a Soriana supermarket across the street, but the mattresses need replacing and the rooms need maintenance. Better beds would make the place excellent.

I was there on Wednesday, but honestly, I couldn’t stay. The room was 214. The pillows smelled like sweat, and something bit me on the sheets during the less than two hours I was there. The hygiene was poor. I told them about the awful experience and that I was moving to another hotel, but they didn’t refund my money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

The location is great, and the price is reasonable. A breakfast buffet is included, and there’s even a pool on the hotel’s first floor. Definitely worth it for the excellent service.

I had to go down to reception repeatedly because the room keys wouldn’t work properly and needed reactivating. The staff there frowned about it, and they were rude in general, even giving me a very obvious sneer. The man on the night shift kept questioning where I was going, when I’d be back, and everything else, as if it were my fault I couldn’t sleep because I’d be late.
